What matters is your true intention.” — Lee Min-ho \n  \nBooks and literacy are a sine qua non for development\, and education binds all three together. The role of education in society is universally considered pivotal and crucial. No words can stress how essential education is for development\, upliftment\, and social mobility\, particularly\, for a developing country. \nChildhood is a stage when a person’s life gets molded\, on provided veracious knowledge and multiple perspectives\, a child discovers what suits him/her best\, what are his/her interest areas and where can he excel in life. Early childhood care and education provides a way to bring the underprivileged child to the mainstream. With the goal of giving wings to their imagination and encouraging literacy in children\, Badhtaindia is organizing a Book Donation Drive to reach out to the children in need of books. This is a month-long event commencing from 20th February to 20th March 2022. \nReasons to donate your books  \n\nAn act of Charity\n\n“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” — William Shakespeare \nBy donating books\, you give other people the opportunity to discover for themselves that one book that could change their life. Passing on your books to someone else is the simplest way to spread the spirit of reading. \n  \n\nSupport to the disadvantaged section\n\nBooks and education play a major role in providing knowledge to people and in many cases opportunities to avail education are lacking while in other cases students don’t have access to books and important reference materials. There are many underprivileged children without access to information and knowledge and sometimes even basic books are expected to study. \n\nLiteracy rate\n\nIn India illiteracy continues to plague a large section of the people in India. However\, in the recent times many children have shown the urge to learn\, to be educated and started attending schools. Despite being able to attend school these children are unable to afford academic books due to high prices of the books. However\, when Students get the books\, they learn\, they perform better\, they go for further studies\, they come back\, they get good jobs and now the communities will improve. \n\nEnvironment friendly:\n\nFor every academic term or semester\, thousands of new textbooks are being printed\, bought\, and used. Approximately 425 million trees are cut down in a month across the world and 35 percent of the total trees cut around the world are used in paper industries on every continent. That equates to about 2.47 million trees cut down every day. The outcomes are unfathomable! Donating your books\, textbooks and study notes can help in recycling\, saves trees thus reduces pollution in the air. \n  \nHow to donate books? \nVolunteers of Badhtaindia are under mission to collect 500+ Books of various categories/subjects/classes to distribute it among children of disadvantaged section of the society and to establish a library for the children in the orphanages and unaided schools in India\, as a campaign to promote education for children. Our vision is to bridge the gap between those having books and those who need books. \nWays to participate in the book donation drive: \nFill up the book donation form to register and donate books: \nLink- \n  \n\nSend your books on the given address (you can courier it if the distance is far).
