“What makes you a man is not the ability to make a child, it’s the courage to raise one.”- Barack Obama.

There are lakhs of children living in low-income families, and unfortunately, many of them don’t have the educational opportunities that others take for granted. Many of these kids from low-income families struggle to succeed in school and stay on track to continue their education beyond high school. In a country like India, which is home to one-fifth of the world’s poorest people, it is not a surprise that there are education inequalities and issues that need to be resolved. Although there have been efforts by the government over time to educate more people, the literacy rate in urban and rural areas remains low. The last census conducted in 2011 showed the literacy rate at 74.04% which is showing signs of improvement. The gross enrollment ratio as per the latest AISHE Report (2019-2020) in Higher Education in India is 27.1%, which is calculated for the 18-23 years of age group. Even though the data is showing a significant increase in educational opportunities, do we really have narrowed down the educational gap??? There are a lot of children living in slums where they do not get proper education and other basic necessary facilities.

This problem is related to poverty and a great solution to this problem can be Adoption. The first and foremost reason to adopt a child from a low-income family is that you can help them find a much-needed, loving home. If you adopt a child from a low-income family, you can give them a home, and a family, with the unconditional love that so many children don’t receive. You can provide a child from a low-income family with a lifetime of education, including access to resources and knowledge that will help them succeed in life. Another reason to adopt a child from a low-income family is to give them a better future. Many children who are raised in low-income families don’t have the opportunities to succeed that others do. You can help these children achieve their full potential by providing them with everything they need to achieve their goals, including the education they need to get there.

Adoption is an important method of giving children a chance to get a good education. If a child lives in a slum and has no parents, adoption can give him or her a chance to get the love and care that he or she needs to grow up healthy and ready for school. Adoption also helps children from different backgrounds by giving them someone in common who understands them. Finally, adoption can be a way for parents to give their children a chance at a better life without having to worry about money or other responsibilities. Adoption is one way that families can help children overcome barriers to success in life.
